Theo was all about doing the best job he could as captain, to the detriment of his relationship with Vic. Theo needs to do the same if he wants to become captain again and succeed on his third try. But she worked with Diane to overcome her childhood trauma and let go of that anger. That’s precisely how Maya was, too, when she was trying to get her captaincy back. While he has remorse, he never forgave himself or moved on, so he’s overly protective of his new team. He didn’t have his friend when he was grieving. Theo hasn’t dealt with the trauma of losing his friend Michael and then losing Travis from the fallout. He never figured out how to balance keeping his team safe while saving a victim is time sensitive. Losing victims don’t look good for a captain, either. While it is important for the captain to keep his team safe, he also shouldn’t be overly cautious when trying to save someone. He puts victims' lives at risk in favor of his team. He’s so worried about not letting his team get hurt that it interferes with him doing the job. Theo’s second-guessing goes beyond not trusting his team. It’s not like when Beckett and Sullivan came in and had to build those relationships. Especially when he knows the team he’s working with. Station 19 is also a family, so making dinner in support of someone is typical for them. He should know his team, their capabilities and when something is an accident. Theo has been working with Station 19 for a while. It puts their safety at risk because they can’t communicate. This causes serious problems for Station 19. Sometimes, Sullivan and Andy have different ideas of how things should be done, but even when it’s just information or constructive feedback, he can’t handle it. He Thinks any comment is undermining him. Theo also wouldn't listen to any of his team, especially his girlfriend, Vic. He also blames the rest of the team and has them run drills as punishment. When they return from the call and find the kitchen a mess, Theo accuses Andy of intentionally setting the fire to make him look bad. Andy planned a big meal to show their support for Theo, but things went wrong when Jack Gibson fell and hit his head when turning off the burners. If you want to catch up on any previous seasons of Station 19 before March 14, all episodes are available to stream with a Hulu subscription.Right from the get-go, Theo didn’t trust his team. We can also take comfort in the fact that the cast is still happy to be there and will theoretically give us the best final episodes we can hope for. While it’s a bummer that Season 7 will be the final chapter in Station 19’s story, at least the writers knew that going in, as many series do not get that kind of notice ahead of a cancellation. start, with the firefighter spinoff following at 10 p.m. With 9-1-1 moving to ABC for its seventh season, it will take over the 8 p.m. Shorter seasons aren’t the only change for Station 19, either, as it is also changing timeslots. Series orders for both of the Seattle dramas were reduced to 10 episodes for their respective seasons, which will both premiere on Thursday, March 14. Grey’s Anatomy’s cast also seemed to be excited to be back at work, with several of the actors posting photos from their first table read for Season 20. Shonda Rhimes spoke out after the news broke, sending a “heartfelt salute to the exceptional cast,” and to the fans “for the magic, the moments, and the memories.” It seems like Jaina Lee Ortiz, Jason George and the rest are intent on giving us more magic and memories for these last 10 episodes, and their energy gives me hope for what’s to come. It’s hard for many to understand why ABC would cancel such a successful series, which is known for its POC and LGBTQ+ representation, as well as the newsworthy issues its plots tackle. Fans haven’t been taking the news as easily, and a petition to “Save Station 19 ” has now garnered more than 27,000 signatures. It’s great to see them having so much fun together on “Day 1,” even with this being the beginning of the end. Jason George asked, “Did you miss us?” (we did), as Carlos Miranda - aka Theo Ruiz - made goofy faces at the camera. Station 19 ’s cancellation seemed to be the furthest thing from their minds as they celebrated being able to get back into character as Andy Herrera and Vic Hughes again. There are few things related to this show that make me happier than seeing Jaina Lee Ortiz and Barrett Doss dancing. A post shared by Jason W George photo posted by on
